    Rolled Marshmallow Pops

    Recipe Introduction

    "Your kids will think these brightly colored candies are magic wands - glittering pink marshmallows atop lollipop sticks. Colored sugar and lollipop sticks are available at many specialty stores."

    List of Ingredients

    ◦  1 cup pink-colored sugar
    ◦  24 regular marshmallows
    ◦  24 lollipop sticks

    Recipe

    Place the sugar on a small plate and set it aside.

    Bring a small pan of water to a simmer over medium heat. Insert one stick into each marshmallow. Hold one marshmallow over the simmering water, turning it around until the steam softens the outside and makes it sticky. Immediately roll the marshmallow in the pink sugar, making sure to cover the top and bottom. Place the pop, stick up, onto a large platter. Repeat with the remaining marshmallows.

    When the pops are dry, about 1 hour, store them in layers, separated by wax paper, in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month.


    Makes 24 pops
