    Beer & Grainy Mustard Marinade

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
    • 2 tsp fennel seeds
    • 1 tsp dried sage
    • 1 (12-ounce) bottle beer
    • 3 Tbsp country-style Dijon mustard or other grainy mustard
    • 1 Tbsp olive oil
    • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper


    Instructions


    1. Crush the pepper flakes, fennel seeds and sage together with a mortar and pestle. Or place in a piece of plastic wrap and crush with a heavy pan. Combine with the beer, mustard, olive oil and pepper. Whisk until well blended. This marinade is good with pork, lamb or beef.

      Makes 1-1/2 cups.
