    List of Ingredients


    • 4 habaneros, stemmed, seeded, chopped
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
    • 6 green onions, white part only, chopped
    • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
    • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
    • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 Tbsp dark rum
    • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
    • 1 Tbsp fresh thyme
    • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
    • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
    • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon


    Instructions


    1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Let sit for 1 hour to blend the flavors. (Cover and refrigerate if not using immediately. Or pour into freezer-proof container, leaving 1/2-inch headspace, and freeze.)

      Makes 1-1/2 to 2 cups.
