    Oriental Plum Sauce Marinade

    List of Ingredients


    • 2/3 cup plum sauce
    • 2 tsp hoisin sauce
    • 2 Tbsp dry sherry
    • 1 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
    • 2 Tbsp peanut oil
    • 1 tsp Oriental sesame oil
    • 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
    • 1/2 tsp crushed dried red chili pepper


    Instructions


    1. Combine plum sauce, hoisin sauce, sherry, and soy sauce in non-reactive bowl. Whisk in peanut oil and sesame oil, a little at a time. Add ginger, garlic, cilantro and chili pepper.

    2. To use, marinate chicken breasts for 4 to 6 hours, chicken wings for 6 to 8 hours, or spare ribs for 8 hours or overnight.

      Makes 2 cups.
