Daddy's Fiesta Meat Loaf

List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 bottle (12 ounces) Heinz Chili Sauce
- 1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Saute onion, celery and green pepper in butter until tender. Stir in chili sauce.
- Combine 1/2 cup of this mixture with the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Form into a loaf in a shallow baking pan.
- Bake in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serve remaining sauce over meat loaf.
