    Flemish Pork Chops

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 pork chops, trimmed of fat
    • 2 Tbsp butter
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 3/4 cup burgundy
    • 3/4 cup chicken broth
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
    • 1/2 tsp basil
    • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
    • 1 Tbsp flour
    • 2 Tbsp butter
    • *
    • Hot buttered noodles


    Instructions


    1. Brown pork chops in butter. Remove chops and saute onion in same pan. Mix burgundy, broth, and tomato paste together in a mixing bowl.

    2. Return chops to pan; season with salt, pepper, and basil. Pour wine mixture over chops, cover and simmer for one hour or until chops are tender. Remove chops to platter.

    3. Mix butter and flour into a paste and stir into the pan juices until they thicken. Pour over chops and serve with hot buttered noodles.

      Makes 6 servings.
