    Jane's Melt-in-Your-Mouth Brisket

    List of Ingredients


    • One 5- to 6-lb. brisket
    • 1-1/2 cups of your favorite barbecue sauce
    • 1 sweet yellow onion, thinly sliced


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees (F).

    2. Place the brisket, fat side up, in a baking dish. Pour over the barbecue sauce. Top with the sliced onions. Cover and seal tightly with aluminum foil.

    3. Bake for 6 hours (or up to 8 hours). Let sit for 15 minutes after you remove from the oven. Then slice, across the grain, in half-inch slices. Serve warm. (Makes great sandwiches the next day.)
