- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp rubbed sage
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup catsup
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the egg, milk, oats, onion, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
- Press into an ungreased 8-inch x 2-inch loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1-1/4 hours; drain.
- Drizzle with catsup; bake 10 minutes longer or until meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160°. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
Makes 6 servings.
