    South Dakota Meat Loaf *

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
    • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
    • 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
    • 1/4 cup chopped onion
    • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp rubbed sage
    • 1/8 tsp pepper
    • 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
    • 1/4 cup catsup


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, combine the egg, milk, oats, onion, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.

    2. Press into an ungreased 8-inch x 2-inch loaf pan. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1-1/4 hours; drain.

    3. Drizzle with catsup; bake 10 minutes longer or until meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160°. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.

      Makes 6 servings.
