    Spareribs Aloha

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 lbs meaty spareribs
    • 1 (13-1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks with juice
    • 1 green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
    • 3 Tbsp vinegar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 3 pieces preserved ginger, slivered
    • 1 Tbsp cornstarch


    Instructions


    1. Cut spareribs into 2 or 3 rib sections and brown in a 350-degree oven for one hour, pouring off excess fat frequently.

    2. Mix pineapple, juice, and green pepper. Blend in the brown sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, salt, and soy sauce; add ginger.

    3. Pour pineapple sauce over ribs and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting often.

      Makes 3 to 4 servings.
