Chocolate Whipped Cream

List of Ingredients
- 2 cups cold heavy cream
- 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
- ½ cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Using a chilled bowl and chilled beaters, whip the cream for a few minutes until it starts to thicken.
- Add the sugar and cocoa powder and continue beating until it stands in stiff peaks. Use right away, or spoon it into a fine-mesh sieve placed over a bowl (so any liquid it releases won't dilute the cream), cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to use.
- After topping the dessert with the cream, serve it right away.
Makes about 4 cups
• A frosting alternative:
Pipe a pretty swirl of this chocolate-flavored cream onto a cupcake in place of frosting.
