Bakery-Style Chocolate Chip Muffins

- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 1¼ cups buttermilk
- 1½ cups miniature chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425° F. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and both sugars. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk; stir just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Fill each muffin cup completely full (about a heaping ¼ cup).
- Bake 5 minutes, then decrease temperature to 375° F, and bake another 10 to 12 minutes. Muffins are done when toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven, and let cool for 5 to 10 minutes in pan before serving.
Makes 12 gigantic muffins
