Oregon Marionberry Cobbler

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk

- 3 pints (6 cups) fresh marionberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp butter
- .
- Vanilla ice cream (not optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F). Butter an 11x7-inch (2-quart) baking dish.
- For the topping: Mix butter and sugar in food processor until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking soda, salt and milk. Mix to combine. Batter should be stiff.
- For the filling: Gently toss berries with sugar, cornstarch, nutmeg and lemon juice. Pour into baking dish; dot top with slices of butter.
- Spoon topping over berries. They will not be completely covered. Bake for 40 minutes, until pastry is golden and filling is bubbling.
Serve warm with ice cream!
