    Italian Spaghetti

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lbs. ground beef
    • 1 medium onion, chopped
    • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato paste
    • 1 (7-1/2 oz.) can pitted ripe olives
    • 2 pkgs spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms
    • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
    • 3 cups water
    • 1 Tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp oregano leaves
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 16 oz. uncooked long spaghetti
    • Grated Parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Cook and stir meat and onion in large skillet until meat is brown. Drain off fat.

    2. Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf.

    3. Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain. Serve sauce over spaghetti and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
