    Pimiento Mac 'n' Cheese

    • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
    • 2½ cups milk
    • ½ cup mayonnaise
    • ¼ cup butter, melted
    • 2 Tbsp grated onion
    • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp ground red pepper
    • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
    • 1 (4-ounce) jar diced pimientos, drained
    • 1 (2-ounce) jar diced pimientos, drained
    • 1 (8-ounce) package sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 1 (8-ounce) package extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350°. Cook macaroni in boiling salted water according to package directions; drain.

    2. Meanwhile, stir together milk and next 9 ingredients in a medium bowl. Spoon half of cooked macaroni into a greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Pour half of milk mixture over macaroni in dish; top with half of cheeses. Top with remaining half of macaroni, milk mixture, and cheeses.

    3. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40 minutes or until pasta mixture is set and cheese is golden.

      Makes 8 to 10 servings.
