    Birds: Quinoa Balls

    • 2 cans pumpkin purée
    • 2 cups quinoa, uncooked
    • 1 cup seed mix (mostly smaller seeds, like millet and safflower)
    • 1 cup dried cranberries (craisins, unsweetened)
    • Extra seed, for rolling


    Instructions


    1. Blend all ingredients (except extra seed) together in a large bowl. Paste should be easy to roll in your hands into a ball. If it's not, add more quinoa or fruit to make it more solid.

    2. When you make a ball, gently roll it in a cookie sheet of seed mix to make a hard shell coating.

    3. Bake on cookie sheets at 300° for 30 minutes. (You are baking a bit, but mostly removing moisture.) Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
