Dogs: Freckles' Beef Doggie Biscuits

- 2¼ cups whole wheat flour
- ½ cup nonfat dry milk
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- ½ cup plus 2 Tbsp hot water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300° F.
In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, nonfat dry milk, and brown sugar. Add the egg and vegetable oil. In a separate small bowl, dissolve the two beef bouillon cubes in the hot water and add to the mixture until you have a dough (the dough will appear dry).
- Knead the dough until it is smooth. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to ¼-inch thickness. Cut out small biscuits using a bone-shaped cookie cutter.
- Place biscuits on a silpat-lined baking sheet. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes. Place on cooling racks. Store biscuits in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
