Dogs: Peanut Butter Patties

- 1½ cups water
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup plain or crunchy peanut butter
- 2½ cups whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- ¾ cup quick-cooking oats
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Mix liquid ingredients and peanut butter together. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, and combine thoroughly until smooth. Roll into a ball; place on floured surface and roll out to ½-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Turn off oven and leave cookies in oven for 20 to 30 minutes to harden.
