Dogs: Quick Canine Hash

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup bulgur or whole-wheat couscous (2½ cups cooked)
- 1 cup (½ pound) chuck, hamburger, chicken or turkey
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp Healthy Powder (recipe follows)
- 5,000 IU vitamin A
- 1½ tsp Animal Essentials calcium (or a scant teaspoon of powdered eggshell)
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add the bulgur, cover and simmer 10 to 20 minutes. (For couscous, use 3 cups water and cook 3 to 5 minutes.)
- Add the meat or poultry, Healthy Powder, and calcium, and serve. (Rotate this recipe with those that contain bone meal, to make sure all micro-nutrients are included.)
Makes about 3¾ cups.

HEALTHY POWDER
• 2 cups nutritional or brewer's yeast
• 1 cup lecithin granules
• ¼ cup kelp powder
• 4 Tbsp Group I bone meal powder
• 1000 mg vitamin C (or ¼ tsp sodium ascorbate), optional
Mix all ingredients together in a 1 quart container and refrigerate.
