    Cool Lime Pie with Tequila

    Adapted from "The Artful Pie"


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 Tbsp grated lime zest
    • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
    • 3 Tbsp tequila
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1 pre-baked graham cracker crust
    • Whipped cream and slices of lime for garnish (optional)


    Instructions


    1. In a medium mixing bowl, using an electric mixer set on medium speed, beat together the condensed milk, lime zest, lime juice, tequila and salt. Set the filling aside for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.

    2. Pour into the crust, cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

    3. Serve pie cold, garnished with whipped cream and lime slices, if desired.

      Makes 1 (9-inch) pie,
      or about 8 servings.
