Pecan Crumb Apple Pie

- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 6 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

- -- Crumb Topping --
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees with baking sheet.
- For pie, toss together the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and apples in a large bowl. Spoon into pie shell.
- For crumb topping, combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in butter. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
- Bake on preheated baking sheet for 40 to 50 minutes, or until done.
Serves 6 to 8
