    Pecan Crumb Apple Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • -- Pie --
    • 2/3 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
    • 6 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples
    • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
    • *
    • -- Crumb Topping --
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1/3 cup butter
    • 1/3 cup chopped pecans


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees with baking sheet.

    2. For pie, toss together the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and apples in a large bowl. Spoon into pie shell.

    3. For crumb topping, combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in butter. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle over apple mixture.

    4. Bake on preheated baking sheet for 40 to 50 minutes, or until done.

      Serves 6 to 8
