Wild Blackberry Pie

- Pastry for one 9-inch two-crust pie

- 4 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1-1/2 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- Roll out half of the pastry and line a 9-inch pie plate with it.
- Mix the berries lightly with the sugar, flour and cinnamon, and pour the mixture into the pastry-lined pie pan. Dot with butter.
- Roll out remaining pastry and place on top of pie. Roll edges of pastry together and crimp. Cut slits in top of pastry to allow steam to escape. Or, cut pastry into strips and weave into a lattice design. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 400-degree (F) oven 35 to 40 minutes, or until crust is nicely browned and juice begins to bubble through the slits or holes in crust.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
