Tarte Flambée

List of Ingredients
- 6 bacon slices, diced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces crème fraîche (about ½ cup)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- â…› teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 (12.7-ounce) package pre-baked thin pizza crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450° F.
Cook bacon in a medium skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until crisp; remove bacon, and drain on paper towels. Wipe skillet clean.
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat; add onion, and sauté 15 minutes or until onion is lightly browned. Remove from heat.
- Place a baking sheet in oven 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, stir together crème fraîche and next three ingredients. Spread mixture over pizza crust, leaving a 1-inch border; top with onions and bacon. Transfer pizza onto hot baking sheet.
- Bake at 450° F for 10 minutes or until edges are golden brown and crisp and topping is bubbly. Remove from oven, and cut into squares. Serve immediately.
