    Barbecue Bath Chicken

    Source of Recipe

From "Cooking with Three Ingredients" by Andrew Schloss

    List of Ingredients

    • 1/4 cup hickory-smoked barbecue sauce
    • 1/2 cup bottled Italian salad dressing
    • 1/2 to 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
    • 4 boneless and skinless chicken breast halves

    Instructions

    1. Whisk together the barbecue sauce, dressing and hot pepper sauce. Place the chicken in a gallon-size zipper storage bag. Pour the marinade over, close the bag and refrigerate overnight.

    2. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade. Place in a foil-lined baking pan. Cook the chicken in a preheated 350-degree (F) oven 35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Or barbecue the chicken over medium-hot coals for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until cooked through.

    3. Pour reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, and continue boiling until reduced to a few tablespoons. (A poultry marinade needs to boil at least 1 minute to be safe to use as a glaze.) Remove the chicken from the oven and spoon the glaze over the chicken.

      Makes 4 servings.
