    Mushroom and Cheese Pizzas

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 tsp olive oil
    • 1/3 lb. mushrooms, ends trimmed, cleaned and thinly sliced
    • 1 medium clove garlic, peeled and minced
    • 1/2 tsp dried basil, crushed
    • 4 (6-inch) packaged Italian bread crusts (such as Boboli)
    • 1-1/3 cups tomato sauce, preferably flavored with mushrooms and black olives
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Heat the olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms, garlic and basil; sauté until the mushrooms have softened, about 5 minutes.

    2. Place the bread crusts on a large baking sheet. Spread each crust with 1/3 cup tomato sauce and top with the mushrooms. Sprinkle with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

    3. Bake in a preheated 450º F oven for 10 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

      Makes 4 servings
      Preparation Time: 20 minutes
