Quick Onion Soup

- 3 large onions, sliced thin
- 3 cans consomme
- 1/8 lb. butter
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1 cup grated Swiss or Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup croutons
Instructions
- Melt butter and saute onions until clear. Add consomme and wine.
- Pour into an oven-safe casserole, sprinkle with cheese, and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.
To brown the cheese, broil for one minute after cooking. Pass the croutons.
