    Quick Onion Soup

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 large onions, sliced thin
    • 3 cans consomme
    • 1/8 lb. butter
    • 1/4 cup red wine
    • 1 cup grated Swiss or Parmesan cheese
    • 1 cup croutons


    Instructions


    1. Melt butter and saute onions until clear. Add consomme and wine.

    2. Pour into an oven-safe casserole, sprinkle with cheese, and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.

      To brown the cheese, broil for one minute after cooking. Pass the croutons.

      Serves 4
