    Creamy Buttermilk Dressing

    From "Southern Living: A Southern Gentleman's Kitchen"

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lemon
    • ½ cup buttermilk
    • 1½ cups plain Greek yogurt
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
    • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives


    Instructions


    1. Grate zest from lemon to equal ½ teaspoon. Cut lemon in half; squeeze juice from lemon to equal 2 tablespoons.

    2. Whisk together buttermilk and yogurt in a bowl until blended and smooth. Add lemon zest and juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and chives; whisk until blended.

    3. Transfer to a glass canning jar, and serve immediately. Cover with metal lid, and screw on band; refrigerate up to one week.

      Makes 2 cups
