Old-Fashioned Coleslaw

List of Ingredients



• 1 large cabbage, cored and shredded (8 cups)
  
• 1 carrot, peeled and shredded
  
• ¼ cup sliced green onions (including 1 inch of the green part)
  
• 3 Tbsp cider vinegar
  
• ½ cup mayonnaise
  
• ¼ cup sugar
  
• 1 tsp dry mustard
  
• 1 tsp celery seed
  
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  






Instructions



1. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrot and green onions. In a small bowl, combine the vinegar, mayonnaise, sugar, dry mustard and celery seed. Stir to blend. Season with salt and pepper.
   
   
2. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture, and stir well to coat. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
   
   Serves 8
