Sliced Tomato Salad
Source of Recipe
From "The Good Home Cookbook" by Richard Perry
Recipe Introduction
"In the good old days, a tomato was plump, sun-warmed, and flavorful, and a plate of sliced tomatoes was set on the dinner table for as long as the tomato season lasted. Sometimes the tomatoes were dressed with no more than a sprinkling of salt and pepper. Sometimes it got a little fancier, as this recipe tastefully demonstrates."
List of Ingredients
◦ 4 medium tomatoes, sliced
◦ 1 medium red onion, sliced
◦ 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
◦ 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
◦ 3 tablespoons olive oil
◦ Salt and pepper
Recipe
Arrange the tomato and onion slices so they are overlapping on a platter.
Sprinkle with the basil.
