    The Coolest Coleslaw

    Source of Recipe

From "Nashville Eats" by Jennifer Justus

    Recipe Introduction

"Roger Mooking, host of the Cooking Channel's 'Man Fire Food,' once told me that his favorite ingredient for cooling the palate is Greek yogurt. So in making this slaw to accompany hot chicken, I used Greek yogurt in place of sour cream and upped its proportion to match the mayonnaise."

    List of Ingredients

â—¦ 1 medium green cabbage, core removed
    â—¦ ½ cup Greek yogurt
    â—¦ ½ cup mayonnaise
    â—¦ 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    â—¦ 1 ½ teaspoons sugar
    â—¦ 1 teaspoon celery seeds
â—¦ 1 to 2 tablespoons chopped dill (optional)

    Recipe

Slice the cabbage into thin strips. Place it in a large bowl.

In a medium bowl, combine the yogurt, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, celery seeds, and dill (if you're using it). Pour the dressing over the cabbage and toss.

Refrigerate the slaw for about 30 minutes before serving.

    Makes 8 servings
