    Filling: Classic Tuna Salad

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 6-ounce cans olive oil-packed tuna, undrained
    • â…“ cup mayonnaise, or as needed
    • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
    • ½ rib celery, finely chopped
    • ½ bunch fresh chives, minced
    • Leaves from 3 to 4 fresh flat-leaf parsley sprigs, finely chopped
    • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


    Instructions


    1. Put tuna and its oil in a medium bowl and break it up with a fork. Add mayonnaise and lemon juice and mash into tuna until mixture has the consistency of a coarse purée (not a paste), adding a bit more mayonnaise if necessary. Stir in celery, chives, and parsley and season with salt and pepper before serving.

      Serves 4
