Butter and Sage Sauce

List of Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 3 or 4 fresh sage leaves, torn into small pieces
- Salt
- ¾ cup (3 ounces) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large frying pan over medium-low heat, combine the butter, ¼ cup water, the sage, and ½ teaspoon salt.
- Cook, stirring with a wooden spoon, just until the butter is melted.
Remove the pan from the heat and taste and adjust the seasoning. Serve the sauce right away, adding the cheese when you toss the pasta with the sauce.
Makes enough sauce for 1 pound pasta;
4 to 6 servings
