    Cream Sauce [For Vegetables]

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
    • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1 cup milk


    Instructions


    1. In a skillet, melt the butter. Add the flour and salt; whisk.

    2. Remove from heat and slowly add the milk, whisking constantly.

    3. Return to heat and simmer for a minute or two... serve over cauliflower, asparagus, new potatoes, etc.

      Variation: To make a cheese sauce, just add 1/2 cup grated Cheddar to the mixture.

      Makes 1 cup.
