Mushroom-Wine Sauce

List of Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 12 shallots, chopped
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (8-ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 (10¾-ounce) cans beef consommé
- ½ cup dry red wine
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shallots, green onions, and garlic; sauté 2 minutes. Add mushrooms; sauté 5 minutes.
- Add flour, and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Gradually stir in consommé and wine. Cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Makes 4 cups
