Mushroom Gravy

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 6 Tbsp butter, divided
- 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- Sauté the mushrooms in 2 tablespoons of the butter in a saucepan for no more than 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt the remaining 4 tablespoons butter, and whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper in the melted butter until blended. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth until completely blended.
- Whisk in the milk and add the sautéed mushrooms. Cook for no more than 5 minutes. When the gravy is heated through, transfer to a serving container and serve hot.
Makes 4 cups.
