Steak Sauce

- 2/3 cup bottled chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp molasses
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the chili sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, molasses and Worcestershire in a small non-reactive saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Simmer gently, uncovered, until flavors have combined and mixture has thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and add a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper. Let cool slightly before serving, or serve at room temperature.
Store remaining sauce well-covered in the refrigerator, but bring to room temperature before serving.
Makes about 2/3 cup.
