Whiskey-Butternut Glaze

List of Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the sugar, bourbon, salt, honey, and pecans, until all granules of sugar are dissolved. Remove from the heat.
Makes 2 cups.
Final Comments
Use this glaze on the grill with salmon or chicken, or drizzle it on baked sweet potatoes. To make a luscious sauce for bread pudding, stir 1/2 cup sour cream into the cooked glaze after it has been removed from the heat.
