    Hot Dilled Olives

    Recipe Introduction

    "Have plenty of these on hand - they're irresistible nibbling food and easy to serve when friends drop by unexpectedly."

    List of Ingredients

    • 1½ pints large green olives (pitted)
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 2 red chile peppers
    • 3 to 4 tsp chopped fresh dill or dill seeds
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 5 Tbsp good-quality olive oil
    • 5 Tbsp white wine vinegar

    Recipe

    Drain the olives and put them in a clean jar.

    Add spices, oil, and vinegar. Allow to marinate two days.
    Keep refrigerated.

    Makes 3 cups
