Recipe Introduction
"Amp up your traditional sour cream and potato vibe with actual, hearty ingredients. I like to bake my waffle fries extra crispy; that way they stand up to the creamy dip and let you scoop up all the garnishes without cracking under pressure. I highly encourage you to take a plunge into a dip so indulgent it's doubtful you can stop at just one bite! Anybody got a napkin?"
List of Ingredients
◦ 1 (2.1-ounce) package fully cooked bacon slices
◦ 2 ⅓ cups sour cream
◦ 8 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)
◦ ⅓ cup sliced fresh chives
◦ 2 teaspoons hot sauce
◦ Garnishes: cooked, crumbled bacon; sliced fresh chives
◦ Waffle fries
Recipe
Microwave the bacon according to package directions until crisp; drain on paper towels. Cool 10 minutes; crumble.
Stir together the bacon and next four ingredients. Cover and chill 1 to 24 hours before serving.
Serve with crispy, warm waffle fries.
Store the leftovers in refrigerator up to 7 days.
Makes about 4 cups
