    Nut Praline Crunch

    From "Gooseberry Patch Christmas: 10th Anniversary"

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 Tbsp butter
    • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
    • ¼ cup light corn syrup
    • ¼ tsp baking soda
    • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
    • 3-2/3 cups toasted oatmeal cereal squares
    • 1¼ cups bite-size crispy rice cereal squares
    • 2 cups mixed nuts


    Instructions


    1. Combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for 1 minute, or until butter is melted. Stir in baking soda and vanilla.

    2. In a large bowl, combine cereal and nuts; fold in syrup mixture. Spread on an aluminum foil-lined jelly-roll pan.

    3. Bake at 200° for one hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.

      Makes about 7 cups.
