    Cooked Okra

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lbs. okra
    • 3/4 tsp salt
    • Boiling water


    Instructions


    1. Wash okra and cut off stems. Cut into 1/2-inch slices and place in saucepan.

    2. Add salt, cover with water and cook, uncovered, 15 to 25 minutes. Drain. To serve, season with pepper, butter and vinegar.

      Serves 6 to 8
