Cracklin Corn Bread

List of Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1-1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 cup cracklins
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F).
- Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, then add milk, oil and egg. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the mixture into a hot greased cast iron skillet, and bake 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Makes 6 servings.
