    Bacon and Cheese Grits

    List of Ingredients


    • 1½ cups grits, uncooked
    • 3 cups grated Cheddar cheese, divided
    • 3 eggs, beaten
    • â…“ cup milk
    • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
    • 5 slices bacon, cooked, crumbled, divided


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

    2. Cook grits according to package directions; remove from heat. Add 2 cups cheese, eggs, milk, cayenne pepper, and 3 slices crumbled bacon; stir well.

    3. Pour into greased 3-quart baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup cheese and 2 slices cooked, crumbled bacon. Bake 20 minutes.

      Serves 8 to 10
