    Candied Pecans

    From "The Southern Bite Cookbook"

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 large egg white
    • 1 Tbsp water
    • 2 cups raw pecans
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon


    Instructions


    1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.

    2. In a medium bowl whip the egg white and water together until frothy. Add the pecans, and toss to coat. In another small bowl combine the sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add to the pecans, and stir to coat.

    3. Spread the pecans out on the baking sheet, and bake 28 to 30 minutes, stirring twice during the cooking time. Be cautious not to overcook them. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container or jar for about a week.

      Makes 2 cups.
