    Kentucky Bourbon Balls II

    Source of Recipe

From "The Southern Entertainer's Cookbook" by Courtney Whitmore

    Recipe Introduction

"This no-bake candy is easy to make and adds the perfect sweet and slightly boozy addition to any holiday cookie platter."

    List of Ingredients

    â—¦ 2 ½ cups vanilla wafer crumbs, approximately 1 (11-ounce) box
    â—¦ 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    â—¦ 1 ½ cups powdered sugar, divided
    â—¦ ½ teaspoon salt
â—¦ 1 cup finely chopped pecans
    â—¦ 3 ½ tablespoons white corn syrup
    â—¦ ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons bourbon

    Recipe

Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, cocoa powder, 1 cup powdered sugar, salt, and pecans in a mixing bowl. Stir together well.
Add in corn syrup and bourbon, mixing well.

Shape mixture into 1-inch balls and roll in remaining powdered sugar. Keep in a metal tin or airtight container for at least 12 hours or overnight until serving.

Some powdered sugar will soak into bourbon balls, enhancing their flavor, but you can also roll them in additional powdered sugar before serving.

    Makes 36 bourbon balls
