    Old-Fashioned Buttermilk Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 stick butter, softened
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 rounded tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 3 large eggs, beaten
    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
    • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust


    Instructions


    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

    2. In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar together. Add the flour and eggs, beating well. Stir in the buttermilk, vanilla, and nutmeg and pour the filling into the unbaked piecrust.

    3. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for at least 10 minutes on a wire rack before serving.

      Makes 8 servings.
