* Keep the paper wrapping that your butter or margarine sticks come in. If you need to grease a pan, simply wipe the wrapper over the pan.
* After preparing onions, dab your fingers in a bowl of vinegar. The vinegar overpowers the onion smell and is easier to wash out.
* When spills occur in the oven, sprinkle salt on them right away, then wipe the spill and salt away once the oven has cooled.
* Keep sponges fresh and control bacteria with help from the microwave. Wet the sponge, and then microwave for 1-1/2 minutes every other day. Let the sponge cool before you remove it.
* Get stains out of coffee and tea cups by adding salt to the bottom of the cup with water; then scrub with a sponge.
* To get rid of odors in your refrigerator and freezer, put a bag with 2 lbs. of charcoal in each. Leave for 7 days. Then, your appliance interior should be odor-free.
* Keep water spots on your faucets to a minimum by using furniture polish. Simply clean the faucet and then spray furniture polish on a cloth and wipe the faucet. This should decrease the water spots.
