* Recycle part of those disposable cameras. Before you take them for processing, take out the two batteries that are inside. You can reuse the batteries for something else.
* Before you throw out rubber gloves, cut the wrist part into wide bands for large-size rubber bands. The finger parts can be used for small, wide rubber bands. Store them in a plastic bag, or they tend to get dry and brittle.
* Recycle greeting cards by cutting the fronts into shapes, then punching holes along perimeter to make sewing cards for children. Use colored shoe laces or yarn to lace through holes.
* You can save money on your dryer sheets by using them more than once.
* Reuse old water bottles. You can rinse them out and fill them with your favorite juice. You can also freeze water in the bottles and take them with you when traveling. The water slowly thaws, giving you a cool drink when you need it later.
* Sell old magazines and books that you have to a second-hand bookstore. If a bookstore is not nearby, consider donating them to a nursing home or doctor's office.
