    Seafood: Shrimp Tip

    * * *

    Taking off a shrimp's tail and vein isn't easy -- why else would so many shrimp recipes let you leave the tail on?

    To easily and simultaneously remove the tail and vein of a raw shrimp, grasp the tail and bend it away from the inner curve of the shrimp until the tail and vein snap away. Then simply peel the remaining shell from the shrimp.
