    Acorn Squash Rounds

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 acorn squash
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine


    Instructions


    1. Cut the unpeeled squash into slices approximately 3/4-inch thick. Using a sharp knife, remove the seeds and membranes from the center.

    2. Place the slices on a foil-covered baking sheet and sprinkle with half of the brown sugar. Dot with half of the butter.

    3. Bake at 400 degrees (F) for 15 minutes. Using a spatula, carefully turn the slices and spread with remaining sugar and butter. Return to the oven for 10 minutes more or until tender.

      Serves 6
