Buttery Garlic Bread

- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 4 garlic cloves, pressed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 (16-oz.) Italian bread loaf, cut into 8 (1-1/2-inch) slices
- 1-1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Melt butter or margarine in a skillet over medium-high heat; add the pressed garlic cloves and salt. Saute 2 minutes.
- Dip the bread slices into the butter mixture, coating both sides. Place on a baking sheet.
- Stir together the Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese; sprinkle on one side of each bread slice. Broil 5 inches from heat for 4 minutes or until cheese melts.
Makes 8 slices.
